Tracy Aldereyaane shares her journey to becoming a Certified Senior Master Instructor of FitCoreTM and a leading Level 2 Peak Pilates®️ instructor, highlighting her teaching philosophy and dedication to empowering others through movement.

1.     Tell us a little about yourself and your Pilates background

My name is Tracy, and I live in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. I am a pioneer in the fitness industry, having opened the first licensed fitness club in KSA, Spectrum Wellness for Women, which has been running for 24 years. Pilates is a key part of our offerings at Spectrum, where I focus on teaching mindful movement and helping students connect with their bodies in a supportive and welcoming environment.

2.     How did you discover Pilates?

I got involved in Pilates while recovering from a horrific accident. I discovered that Pilates not only helped strengthen my body, but also allowed me to achieve things I never thought would be possible again.

3. How do you keep learning?

I’m inspired by the transformations I see in my clients. Pilates strengthens their bodies and minds, allowing them to recover from accidents or operations and emerge as whole new people—no matter their age, whether they’re in their 20’s.or in their 70s.

4.     The best advice you were ever given as a teacher…

The best advice I’ve ever received from a Pilates instructor is that no matter what you do or enjoy in life, you’ll do it better because Pilates is in your body. I often quote this advice and share it with all the teachers in training!

5.      Is there something you try and instil in each of your clients?

I instil in my clients that no matter how much Pilates they practice, it will benefit them in life. Whether it’s picking up their grandchildren, playing tennis, or enjoying golf, Pilates enhances everything they choose to do.

6. The best Pilates course you ever did was…

The best Pilates course I’ve ever taken would have to be my first one, the Peak Pilates®️ MVE Chair course in Riyadh with Sarah Morelli. It led me to want to discover more about Pilates, which ultimately changed my life.

7. When did you discover FitCore?

I first discovered FitCore™ at a Spinning® conference in Miami and was immediately captivated by its blend of Pilates principles, alignment, and rhythmic fitness moves. I knew I had to bring it to Saudi Arabia. Later, I completed the FitCore™ Master Instructor Camp online, drawn to its dynamic, music-driven approach that makes classes both effective and fun.

As a FitCore™ Senior Master Instructor, I love seeing students from all backgrounds experience the ‘aha’ moment of understanding alignment and posture. Whether they’re CrossFitters or homemakers, these lessons stick with them, enhancing even everyday movements. FitCore’s fusion of Pilates and fitness makes it enjoyable and accessible, appealing to those who might not typically try Pilates.

8. What’s your favourite piece of equipment to use with clients in studio and why?

It’s hard to choose, but I’d say it’s a tie between the Reformer, for alignment and posture, and the Chair, for its balance and strength challenges and taking Pilates vertical.

9. How do you stay motivated?

I stay motivated because life constantly changes, and as our bodies mature, we need variety. Pilates offers so many different ways to challenge and heal the body through movement, as Joseph Pilates taught.

10. What makes you laugh the most?

What makes me laugh the most is definitely my kids and grandchildren. They bring out a joy in me that makes me laugh harder than I ever have before.

11. What’s your favourite way to spend a day off?

On my day off, I enjoy having coffee with friends or family, going for a bike ride or a Pilates session, and ending the day with dinner with my husband.

12. How many pairs of grip socks do you own?

I have too many grip socks to count—so many colors and shapes! As for stretch bands, they’re not my favorite, but I use them when they’re appropriate for the individual’s training needs.
