BODYBAR Pilates Reaches 100-Studio Milestone With Texas Opening
BODYBAR Pilates has reached a major growth milestone, announcing the opening of its 100th studio in Fort Worth, Texas in early September - the state where the franchise began.
The new 2,300-square-foot studio will open in the Presidio area of North Fort Worth and marks a full-circle moment for the brand, which has grown from three Dallas-Fort Worth locations to 100 studios nationwide.
The milestone follows continued expansion for BODYBAR, with 21 new studios opened so far in 2026 and more than 21,000 active members across its network. More than 70 additional studios are currently in the development pipeline, with 30 expected to open by the end of the year.
The Presidio location, opening Monday, 9/8 will be owned and operated by first-time franchise owner Shay Werkheiser, who discovered BODYBAR as a Pilates client before deciding to enter business ownership.
“After 18 years focused on raising my daughters, this is a new chapter for me,” Werkheiser said. “For me, this experience is about building a community where members feel stronger, healthier and connected. The fact it’s BODYBAR’s 100th studio makes it even more special.”
The studio will offer BODYBAR’s signature athletic Pilates classes across strength, balance and mobility.
BODYBAR began franchising in 2015 and has accelerated its expansion under co-founder, president and chief brand officer Kamille McCollum.
“Reaching 100 studios is incredibly rewarding, and it’s not something Matt and I take lightly,” McCollum said. “As we continue to grow, we’re staying true to what got us here: balanced, athletic and real classes that help people feel stronger inside and out.”
The Fort Worth - Presidio studio is scheduled to officially open September 8, subject to construction timelines.
