Les Mills Introduces Reformer to Its Global Fitness Portfolio

Les Mills has officially launched LES MILLS REFORMER™, its first reformer-based program for health clubs around the world.

Developed and tested across clubs in New Zealand, Europe and the United Kingdom, the program combines reformer training with the choreography, music and instructor-led format that has become synonymous with the Les Mills brand. The company says the offering is designed to “democratise” reformer Pilates by making it more accessible to beginners and easier for clubs to deliver at scale.

Unlike many traditional reformer classes, the 45-minute sessions are music-led, instructor-led and pre-choreographed, with four programmed movement sequences designed to create a consistent experience across clubs while reducing programming demands on instructors.

“Reformer Pilates has been growing for years across boutiques, and now there’s a huge opportunity for clubs to tap into consumer demand and take reformer fully mainstream,” said Summer Bradley, co-creator of LES MILLS REFORMER.

The launch reflects a broader shift taking place across the industry. Once largely confined to boutique studios, Pilates has become one of the fastest-growing categories in fitness, with major gym chains and wellness brands increasingly investing in reformer experiences. Les Mills previously entered the category with its mat-based LES MILLS PILATES™ program in 2024.

According to the company, early trials have shown strong demand. In a UK pilot, 84 per cent of participants said they were highly likely to continue taking the classes, while more than half said the program influenced their decision to join a club.

For the Pilates industry, the move signals another step in the method’s evolution as global fitness companies continue to enter the space. As reformer reaches new audiences, the conversation around accessibility, education and the future of Pilates is only set to grow.

Founded in New Zealand in 1968, Les Mills is a global fitness company known for its pre-choreographed, instructor-led group exercise programs, which are taught in health clubs around the world.
