Les Mills Appoints Jason Paris as New CEO

Les Mills International has appointed Jason Paris as its new Chief Executive Officer, as the global fitness company prepares for its next phase of growth.

Paris will take up the role on October 6, with Phillip Mills moving from Managing Director into a Founder and Director role following a planned three-year period leading the company.

The leadership change comes at a significant time for Les Mills, including its recent expansion into the fast-growing Reformer Pilates category with the launch of LES MILLS REFORMER.

Paris brings extensive experience in business transformation, digital services and customer-led growth. His previous leadership roles include overseeing the transformation of Vodafone New Zealand into One NZ and involvement in the transition of Telecom to Spark.

“It’s an enormous privilege to be joining Les Mills International to help lead the next phase of growth,” Paris said, pointing to the company's global network of instructors, club partners and participants as central to its future.

Phillip Mills said the company had returned to solid growth following the disruption of the pandemic and was now positioned for further expansion.

For the Pilates industry, that expansion will be one to watch. Les Mills' move into Reformer reflects a broader shift as Pilates continues to move beyond specialist studios and further into mainstream health clubs and fitness facilities.

With an established global club network, instructor education infrastructure and experience scaling fitness programming internationally, Les Mills has the potential to introduce Reformer-based training to a significantly wider audience.

Paris' appointment signals the beginning of a new chapter for the company - and, with Pilates now part of its growth story, one with increasing relevance for the global Pilates industry.
