Merrithew® Acquires GYROTONIC® Organization

Merrithew® has announced the acquisition of the GYROTONIC® organization, bringing the globally recognised GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods into its growing portfolio of mindful movement brands.

Founded by Juliu Horvath, the GYROTONIC® organization is known for its unique movement methodology that combines strength, mobility, coordination and rehabilitation through specialised equipment and movement sequences. The methods are taught and practised in studios and wellness centres worldwide.

The acquisition strengthens Merrithew’s position as a global leader in movement education and equipment, expanding its offerings beyond STOTT PILATES®, ZEN•GA®, Halo® Training and Total Barre®.

“This is an incredibly meaningful moment for Merrithew and the broader mindful movement community,” said Merrithew CEO Jim Heidenreich. “The addition of GYROTONIC® expands Merrithew’s global reach, deepens our movement education portfolio, and reinforces our long-term vision of changing lives through mindful movement.”

According to Merrithew, the GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods will continue to operate with their established philosophy, education standards and community while benefiting from Merrithew’s global infrastructure and resources.

The acquisition represents a significant step in Merrithew’s long-term strategy to support the continued growth of the global mindful movement sector.
