Pilates Method Alliance Announces 2026 PilatesSynergy Summit in Shanghai
The Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) has announced the 2026 Pilates Synergy Summit, taking place July 11–12, 2026 at the Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre in Huangpu, Shanghai, China.
Held under the theme One Method, One Community, the two-day international conference will bring together Pilates instructors, educators, studio owners and movement professionals from across China, Asia and the wider global Pilates community.
The summit will feature workshops, lectures and professional development sessions led by international educators, with a focus on collaboration, shared learning and strengthening connections across the Pilates profession.
The 2026 event follows the PMA’s Phoenix Rising Conference in Foshan in 2025 - the organisation’s first major convention held outside the United States following the Covid period.
The summit will also continue discussions around the PMA’s International Teacher Training Accreditation for Pilates (ITTAP), with dedicated sessions exploring global education standards and the future of Pilates teacher training. “China has become an important meeting point for the global Pilates community,” said Patricia Stevenson, President of the Pilates Method Alliance.
“The theme, One Method, One Community, speaks directly to the purpose of this event.”
