STRONG Pilates Targets 25 U.S. Studios by the End of 2026

Australian-founded fitness brand STRONG Pilates is continuing its rapid expansion across the United States, announcing new studios in nine states as it builds towards 25 U.S. locations by the end of 2026.

The boutique fitness franchise, which combines Pilates, strength training and cardio, has confirmed a number of studios currently in pre-sale, including Tribeca (New York City), Santa Monica, Westlake Village, Back Bay and Fenway (Boston), Kendall Square (Cambridge), Columbia and Gambrills (Maryland), South Park (Charlotte) and Wayne (Philadelphia). The company has also signed franchise agreements that will see it expand into Miami, Portland and Charleston in early 2027.

Founded in Melbourne in 2019 by Michael Ramsey and Mark Armstrong, STRONG Pilates has grown into one of the world's fastest-growing boutique fitness franchises. The brand now operates more than 120 studios across 15 countries, serves over 50,000 members globally, and has generated $75 million in net revenue over the past 12 months. More than 200 additional studios are currently in development worldwide.

Unlike traditional Pilates concepts, STRONG Pilates delivers 45-minute, low-impact workouts using its proprietary Rowformer and Bikeformer machines, combining reformer-based resistance training with rowing or cycling to create a full-body strength and cardio experience. The company has also introduced CONNECT, its proprietary technology platform that integrates programming directly into each machine to streamline the instructor and member experience.

"Boston, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Maryland, New York City and Philadelphia each have their own distinct identity, but they share the same quality we look for in every market: a community that's ready for a smarter, more sustainable way to build long-term fitness and well-being," said co-founder Michael Ramsey.

The expansion reinforces the growing demand for hybrid Pilates concepts in North America and further strengthens STRONG Pilates' position as one of Australia's most successful global fitness exports.
