Mariana Tek Launches Private Session Bookings
Mariana Tek, part of Xplor Technologies, has launched Appointments - a fully integrated feature designed to help boutique fitness studios expand beyond traditional class schedules and grow private training revenue within the same operating system.
The new functionality allows studios to offer and manage 1:1 services, private Pilates sessions and small group appointments directly inside the Mariana Tek platform, without relying on disconnected third-party booking tools. The launch comes as more boutique fitness operators look to maximise underutilised off-peak hours and diversify revenue beyond class capacity limits.
According to Mariana Tek platform data, studios experience 23% fewer visits during off-peak periods, while 39% of off-peak classes operate with fewer than five attendees. Appointments aims to help studios turn that downtime into bookable, premium experiences through integrated scheduling, payments, memberships and marketing tools.
Importantly, the feature was developed directly in response to studio demand. Mariana Tek built Appointments through a six-month Early Access program alongside operators actively testing the system within real studio environments. What began with three studios expanded to more than 30 brands during beta testing, with around half coming from Pilates-focused businesses where private sessions form a core part of the business model.
Studios including LiveMetta Pilates, Speir Pilates and Workshop Pilates helped shape the product through ongoing feedback and operational testing.
“As private training continues to be a core revenue driver for fitness studios, operators need purpose-built tools that factor the nuances of the modality, not workarounds,” said Shannon Tracey, Vice President of Sales at Mariana Tek.
The system enables studios to manage instructor and room availability, recurring bookings, payroll and payments within a single platform, while also giving clients a seamless mobile booking experience through branded studio apps.
For operators, one of the key benefits is operational simplicity. Rather than stitching together multiple systems for classes, appointments and client management, studios can now manage everything within the same ecosystem.

Appointments is now available across all Mariana Tek subscription tiers at no additional cost, with further integrations and recovery service functionality expected later this year.
